Allergy, Asthma and Food Sensitivity Q&A Courtesy of Dr. Craig Burns

To put it simply, stop treating the symptoms as if they are the condition. Try and find the true underlying cause of the condition, and fix it once and for all. Then and only then will your body be free from the substance association stress response, and thus be symptom free. Remember, reflexes and habits both good and bad can be easily built and easily broken. The key is finding the right doctor to help you do just that. In my opinion, nearly every allergy and asthma patient has 2 choices:
To learn to live with their condition and rely on man made medications to manage symptoms, thus leaving the bodily dysfunction to worsen with time.
Or, to learn more about their body, to improve it for the sake of their future well being and allow it to work as God designed it to.

A Pill for Every Problem?

We never talk about treating the cause. Rather, we often just try to cover up the symptoms of an unhealthy lifestyle. Stress is the cause of most of the symptoms we develop, and it comes in three flavors: physical, chemical, or mental. In order to have true health and wellness, we need to learn how to manage these stressors through proper diet, exercise, and a properly functioning neurological system.

Dr. Andrea Dobrich at BioVeda of Charlotte Comments on Study Showing Hepatitis B Vaccine Triples Risk of Autism

Children suffering from peanut allergies or other sensitivities that result in anaphylaxis present serious challenges for their parents. In many cases parents have few alternatives for caring for their allergic children. One example is the need for home schooling to ensure that these highly allergic children avoid exposure to peanuts and other known allergens. Anaphylactic reactions can be life threatening and accidental exposure could result in death.

Diet and ADHD

Many studies have shown positive outcomes in reducing the symptoms of ADHD simply by changing your child’s diet. In my practice I have observed drastic positive changes in children’s behavior by adding essential nutrition and removing toxic and empty caloric consumption from a persons eating habits.

The Herxheimer Reaction – Feeling Worse Before Feeling Better

The Herxheimer Reaction is a short-term (from days to a few weeks) detoxification reaction in the body. As the body detoxifies, it is not uncommon to experience flu-like symptoms including headache, joint and muscle pain, body aches, sore throat, general malaise, sweating, chills, nausea or other symptoms.

This is a normal — and even healthy — reaction that indicates that parasites, fungus, viruses, bacteria or other pathogens are being effectively killed off. The biggest problem with the Herxheimer reaction is that people stop taking the supplement or medication that is causing the reaction, and thus discontinue the very treatment that is helping to make them better. Although the experience may not make you feel particularly good, the Herxheimer Reaction is actually a sign that healing is taking place.
